The legal requirements of the airline is that the animal must have a minimum of 10 cm (4 inches) between the animal and the carrier. For example when your pet stands up-right in the normal position the gap from the top of his head to the top of the carrier must be at least 10 cm. The Carrier have to have a secure looking system like a spring look (NO TWIST LOCKS) There must also be enough room for the animal to be able to turn around inside.
